Hostel rules

  • A student admitted to Sadhu Vaswani Autonomous College only shall be to apply for admission to hostel.
  • Students will have to buy prospectus and apply for admission in the prescribed form through the respective principal of the college.
  • Admission to the hostel will be confirmed only after the student pays hostel fees and deposits and submits receipts in the hostel office.
  • For student whose result of earlier annual exam/ semester is pending may be admitted to the hostel only provisionally. Admission of such students shall be conformed after the declaration of result and only if they become eligible for succeeding year of study.
  • Admission to the hostel will be valid only for one academic Year.
  • Students desirous of continuing admission in the hostel for the next academic year will have to follow the same procedure as prescribed for first year in the hostel. The admission to such student will be given only be seeing behaviour in the previous year of stay in the hostel. Indisciplined students will not be given admission in the hostel for next academic year.
  • 16% of the seats are reserved for SC, 20% for ST, 14% OBC and other Categories.

Guidelines For The Prevention Of Covid-19 For Hostel Inmates

The following public health measures are to be followed by all hostel inmates in the hostel premise at all times to reduce the risk of COVID-19.

  • 1. In order to ensure social distancing single seated hostel room will be provided to the students.
  • Wearing face cover/mask is a must all times and at all place during your stay inside campus. Thereby carry appropriate number of masks with you.
  • Crowding must be avoided at entry/ exit points. Different timings of entry and exit with limited strength for different programmes should be followed.
  • Those having symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty in breathing are required to report immediately to hostel authorities.
  • There must not be crowding in hostel areas where students live in close proximity and share common facilities and utilities.
  • Cultural activities, meetings etc. are not allowed.
  • Installation & use of Arogya Setu App will be compulsory.
  • Hostel inmates are required to stay inside your own room. Please do not visit in the room of others.
  • Physically distancing of at least 6 feet must be followed as for as feasible.
  • Frequent hand washing with soap (for at least 46-60 Seconds) even when hands are not visibly dirty. Use of alcohol – based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 Second) can be done wherever feasible by hostel inmates.
  • Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed. This involves strictly practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/ sneezing with a tissue/ handkerchief flexed elbow and disposing of used tissues properly.
  • Self- monitoring of health would be done by all the hostel inmates and reporting any at the earliest.
  • Proper cleanliness should be maintained inside the washroom.
  • Spitting shall be strictly prohibited, spitting inside the hostel premise be made a punishable offence.
  • Density in dining hall, common rooms, playing areas should be limited, keeping in view the requirement of physical distancing.
  • Hygiene conditions should be regularly monitored in kitchens, dining hall , bathrooms and toilets etc.
  • Resident students are not allowed to leave campus for any reason even for market visit. They are requested to carry all their belongings during their stay.
  • Sharing of anything including books other learning material and eatables are not allowed.

NOTE :- Students are supposed to adhere to above given guidelines, failure to do so will lend to stringent necessary actions will be taken by the Hostel administration.
